Vanessa enrolled into her first yoga class back in 2010 with a goal to alleviate her persistent shoulder and back pain. She recalled feeling worse the next day as she pushed herself so hard to attempt each pose “perfectly”. Luckily, she decided to give her own yoga practice sometime to sink in. Eventually, Vanessa starts to experience the impact that yoga has on her both physically and mentally.

In 2017, Vanessa completed a 200-hour teacher training with Master Samrat Dasgupta to expand her yoga knowledge beyond the asana practice. In 2018, Vanessa completed a 100-hour training on pre and post-natal teacher training and is excited to receive her yoga wheel qualification later this year.

Like many who struggles to find time between working and nourishing their own well-being, Vanessa is immensely grateful for the support system stemmed from fellow practitioners and teachers, who have kept her on her toes on her yoga journey.

Vanessa is committed to always be a student of the practice and looks forward to sharing her passion with you, which has proven to be both challenging but rewarding
